World Maths Day!

We had a very exciting day today in 4.2.
For World Maths Day we were asked by King Henry VIII to re-design the gardens at his palace, Hampton Court. To do this we investigated area and perimeter.

In the afternoon, we had an entire booklet of Tudor puzzles to try out.
Here are Hamza and Aman looking excited to start!

Lots of  children throughout the school dressed up in creative and interesting maths costumes today, here are the children who dressed up in 4.2.
Every class selected a winner who created the best costume. In our class the winner was Ismaael!

Here he is receiving his prize from Mrs Chadda.
We had a lovely World Maths Day and are already looking forward to the next one!
